How To Remove Unwanted Facial Hair Using Waxing

Removing unwanted facial hair is something which we talked about in this article “How to use hair removal cream to remove facial hair“. Now whilst a lot of hair removal creams are suitable for many parts of the body including the face, some people who are sensitive to depilatory creams may want to consider a warm waxing as an alternative method of hair removal. And so in this article I want to give you an overview of how to safely and effectively remove unwanted facial hair using wax hair removal.

Before you start any type of facial hair removal you need to know that there are three separate areas to waxing the face, the first part will be each cheek, the second is the chin (which is also split into three sections) and the final part is just under the lip.

With cheek waxing the key is to follow a downward pattern coming down along the skin in a smooth motion, placing the wax gently onto the skin and following the manufacturers guidelines at all times. You would then place the waxing cloth over the area to be waxed, where you’ve just applied the wax to. Then after a second or two, hold onto your chin to ensure the skin is tight and kept in place and then pull the cloth off the face in an upward and outward motion. This method will remove hair completely off the side of the face.

The chin is slightly different, you firstly place the wax onto the area of the chin to be waxed, placing the wax on down and around the forward part and under part of your chin. Chin hair removal in usually completed in 3 separate sections, the first section is the right side of the front part and under part of the chin, the second is to the middle and the third and final part is to the left hand side of the chin. On each occasion the waxing cloth is placed onto each relevant section and the cloth then removed after a second or two in a swift upward and outward motion, always making sure to keep the skin taught.

The final part of the face to be waxed is just underneath the lip and above the top of the chin. Many people don’t actually need this area waxing and waxing should only be completed on this area if there is hair to remove. If you did need to remove hair from that area though, you would simply follow the line of the hair when applying the wax and remove the waxing cloth in an upward and outward motion, keeping the skin taught when you do so.
